Hi there another telescope review for this blog. Recently i bought this little telescope because of its portability. Since i have nexstar 5se i always wanted a little telescope to carry in my bag around country. Not for astrophotograpy but just for fun and show some planets and moon to my friends.
Celestron introduced first firstscope series back in 2009 for the beginners. Its a Newtonian Reflector type telescope. comes with two lenses we will see them in a moment. Some people says this is a toy telescope but i would not say it, its potential is great. Now lets look at the box.

I got the telescope from amazon.com it came to turkey in 10 days which is nice. once we get it out of the box you can see how small it is. its actually kind a cute lol. anyway. Box includes two kellner eyepieces one 20 and one 10 mm which is not so good but when you think the price of telescope its seems to be okay. better than nothing i guess ? I'm lucky to have various plössl eyepieces which makes this telescope fabulous. And a 5x24 finderscope which was an optional accessory in first firstcope.

Lets put everything to a side what can we see with this telescope ? With the eyepieces come with the telescope not much i can say. You can see the Moon very clear and sharp but not close and there is some color drifting and you can see Jupiter as a bright ball and moons of it. If u have a solar filter you can enjoy sunspots. I was not able to observe Saturn because i don't want to wake up in the middle of the night but people says they clearly see the rings of Saturn. I don't know if its true but with 2x barlow and plössl eyepieces i think it would be possible to see it.
